What’s the job all about? 

As an HR Advisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering both operational excellence and expert HR guidance across the organization. Acting as a trusted partner to managers and employees, you’ll combine hands-on execution of core HR processes with advisory support on employee relations, policies, and day-to-day HR matters. 

You’ll ensure consistent, efficient, and compliant HR service delivery across the region, supporting both local and international stakeholders. From managing complex employee relations cases to driving continuous improvement in HR operations, you’ll contribute directly to a well-functioning, high-performing organization. 

With a strong understanding of HR processes and local legislation, you’ll act as a reliable point of contact for both managers and colleagues, helping to navigate challenges, improve processes, and enhance the overall employee experience. 

 

What will your day-to-day responsibilities involve? 

Your main tasks will include: 

Employee Relations & Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees. Handle complex cases such as disciplinary matters, grievances, performance issues, and absence. Provide guidance in line with local legislation and company policies. 

HR Operations: Execute end-to-end HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, contract management, and employee documentation. Ensure accuracy and compliance with local labor laws. 

HR Systems & Data Management: Act as a key user for HR systems (e.g. Workday). Maintain accurate data, generate reports, and support data-driven decision-making. Identify opportunities to improve and automate processes. 

Payroll Coordination: Act as the main contact for payroll providers. Coordinate and validate monthly inputs, including contract changes, leave, and absence. Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing together with Finance. 

Absence & Attendance Management: Support managers with absence cases, including long-term sickness. Monitor attendance and time tracking in line with policies and local regulations. 

Policy & Compliance: Ensure consistent application of HR policies. Monitor local legislation and update processes and documentation where needed. 

Stakeholder Support: Partner with (international) HR Business Partners and managers. Provide practical HR advice, insights, and support on people-related topics. 

Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external HR vendors. Ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery. 

HR Programs & Implementation: Support the rollout of local and regional HR initiatives. Ensure clear communication and smooth execution. 

Escalation & Knowledge Sharing: Act as an escalation point for complex HR topics. Share knowledge within the team and support colleagues where needed. 

 

Who are we looking for? 

We’re looking for an experienced HR professional who combines strong operational expertise with confident advisory skills. You’re comfortable working in a dynamic environment and know how to balance hands-on execution with stakeholder management. 

You’ll thrive in this role if you have: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience is also considered. 

  • Experience: Solid experience in HR operations and advisory roles (e.g. HR Advisor or HR Generalist). Proven track record in managing employee relations cases and working across multiple HR functions. 

  • Employee Relations Expertise: Strong experience handling complex HR cases, with a good understanding of local labor laws and best practices. 

  • Language Proficiency: Strong command of English is essential for all candidates. Fluency in Dutch, with the ability to use it proficiently in day-to-day business and professional contexts, is required. 

  • Technical Skills: Experience with HRIS systems (e.g. Workday), payroll processes, and HR data reporting. 

  • Analytical Mindset: Comfortable working with HR data. Able to translate insights into practical actions and improvements. 

  • Organizational Skills: Strong planning and prioritization skills. Able to manage multiple topics with attention to detail.
