Work model: Hybrid, with a minimum of 1 day per week in the office

We’re looking for a strategic and structured Category Manager to help shape the future of Haibike, one of Accell’s most renowned brands. In this high-impact role, you will take ownership of the product and innovation roadmap, translating consumer needs, market insights, and commercial opportunities into a strong and future-focused portfolio.

What’s the job all about?

As Category Manager for Haibike, you’ll be at the heart of our innovation and commercial planning process. You’ll play a key role in developing the long-term roadmap, optimizing the category offering, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful global go-to-market execution.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities involve?

You’ll combine strategic thinking with operational execution, including the following tasks:

  • Develop and maintain the annual model planning, including off-cycle or demand-driven product introductions
  • Represent the brand’s product line-up and new product introductions (NPIs); act as the go-to person for internal stakeholders and create supporting materials as needed
  • Define innovation priorities in collaboration with the Brand Manager; manage the product and innovation roadmap
  • Brief product teams and support the development of new product concepts aligned with brand and market needs
  • Provide the Brand Team with proposals to improve the current offering, develop product and consumer pricing strategies, reduce complexity, and support innovation
  • Act as gatekeeper and owner of the innovation process; maintain timelines, manage deliverables, and align internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with Strategy & Operations to make decisions based on consumer insights, retail performance, sales data, and market feedback
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align product strategies with marketing, sales, and operational plans

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a commercially savvy and collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment. You likely bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • A few years of experience in a product or category management role, ideally in the bike or e-bike industry.
  • Strong affinity with cycling and a good understanding of technical and product developments, pricing, and innovation processes.
  • Candidates from broader consumer goods industries with a strong passion for cycling are also encouraged to apply.
  • A structured, process-oriented mindset with strong analytical and anticipatory skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and timelines with confidence.
  • Fluency in English and German.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe as part of the role.
