What the role is about

The Business Controller is part of the Business Control team, consisting currently of 3 Business Controllers and the Manager Business Control. In this role you report to the Manager Business Control. In turn the Business Control team is part of Group Finance together with the teams of Accounting & Reporting, MDM & Advanced Analytics, Tax, Treasury & Internal Control. In this role you are responsible for:

  • Owning the standardization and next level of manufacturing controlling and reporting;
  • Responsible for ensuring consistency and transparency in manufacturing reporting as well as compliance with the group manuals;
  • Track the actual supply chain KPIs and drive actions together with the manufacturing units and supply chain team to realize the strategic goals;
  • Management accounting of group supply chain functions; preparing budget and forecast including substantive (periodic) discussions with budget holders;
  • Works closely with the financial managers from the manufacturing units and the group supply chain team;
  • Dealing with ad hoc assignments and investment proposals

What we ask for

To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, as assigned. Below are the required skills for the successful candidate.

  • (Master) degree in Accountancy / Finance / Business Economics.
  • 5 - 8 years of increasing responsible business control and management accounting experience in manufacturing or a larger international organization with a focus on supply chain.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform a wide variety of high level accounting, budgeting and financial reporting in an international environment.
  • Excellent Dutch and English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical thinking: strong in problem analysis and judgement, great learning ability.
  • Result-oriented: focus on ‘getting things done’, able to plan own work and set priorities. Adapts quickly by recognizing changing conditions and proposes pragmatic solutions.
  • Energetic and inspirational team player with good interpersonal and communicative skills.
  • Travelling is limited part of the job (10% - 15%).
