Group Supply Planning Manager

What the role is about
As our new Group Supply Planning Manager you are responsible for the development of the most beneficial product portfolio and product mix, with the main purpose to maximize sales, profit and industrial efficiency. For this reason it is important you have in-depth knowledge of all areas of the supply chain such as demand planning, supply planning and inventory planning.

You will be developing and implementing effective supply chain strategies, optimizing inventory levels and collaborating with various internal departments and external suppliers. This is why you are in this job working closely witch colleagues of Procurement, Production Planning, NPI, Sales and Finance.

Key objectives for this position are:

  • Capture and review demand requirements and supply capacity for the business;
  • Review and analyse the forecast demand versus actual demand, understanding changes/ trends and define these to a MU MPS Plan, a Distribution (Allocation) Plan and feasible supplier information;
  • Making decisions in keeping strategic and tactics aligned with the goal of profitability, inventory, lead times, and inventory;
  • Manage the translation of the Tactical Supply Plan guidelines into a feasible monthly/weekly production plan, including the feedback and discussion of potential alternative scenario and input of relevant stakeholders;
  • Facilitate monthly demand forecast aggregation, including consensus between functions and stakeholders;
  • Create and drive continuous improvement of world-class demand planning and S&OP processes;
  • Measure, control, and improve S&OP plan accuracy through clearly defined metrics;
  • Define the delivery KPIs for the Mus.

Our supply Chain
Accell Group's complex supply chain is driven by a wide range of products, suppliers, countries, and consumer profiles. The business is divided into Bicycles (OEM) and Parts & Accessories (P&A), with bicycles being assembled by Accell and third-party suppliers using externally sourced frames and components, mainly from Asia. Assembly operations are strategically located near end markets to reduce lead times, with local inventories on site. Seasonality plays a significant role in the bicycle business, varying by country, with a peak delivery period from February. Accell focuses on the high-end and premium bicycle market, distinguishing itself through innovative products that require tailored components in lower volumes. Collaboration with suppliers is critical in the development process and supply chain. We have adopted a center-led supply chain organization model to improve profitability and working capital.

What we ask forYour attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment will be essential to your success in this role. Strong leadership is required to effectively relate with various stakeholders and to facilitate dialogue with senior management team. For this reason you have strong facilitation, negotiation, communication, collaboration & engagement skills.

Other requirements for this job are:

  • Proven 7-10 years of experience in a cross-functional business position, preferably in the area of Supply Chain Management and/ or Procurement;
  • Education: Academic level (e.g. Business Administration, Procurement, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Apics cpim/cscp or other relevant discipline);
  • Competent in supply chain policy / process development and performance tracking
  • Analytical mindset / skills & ability to understand planning scenarios, to identify opportunities and to troubleshoot constraints and outstanding working knowledge and experience with MS Excel required;
  • Courage and curiosity to challenge (critical thinker), Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take a cross-functional holistic business perspective;
  • Languages - multilingual ability: English business level fluent, Dutch and other languages such as German, French preferred;
  • Prior experience in innovative, product development-driven industries is an advantage.
