As a Senior Field Quality Professional, you will play a key role in connecting our customers and service teams with internal engineering and manufacturing functions. Your focus will be on understanding how our products perform in the field, identifying quality issues, and driving them towards effective and sustainable resolution.
You will collect and analyze field quality data, investigate product failures, and support root cause analysis for complex or recurring technical issues. Working across multiple teams, you will help translate field feedback into clear technical insights and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and followed through.
In this role, you will work closely with Engineering, Service, Manufacturing, and other quality stakeholders. You will bring a strong understanding of bicycles and technical product performance, ideally with specific expertise in Dutch bicycle brands such as Batavus, Sparta, and Koga.
The ideal candidate is an experienced bicycle industry professional who combines strong technical expertise with an analytical and structured approach. You enjoy investigating complex issues, connecting the dots between data and real-world product performance, and working with different stakeholders to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
Monitor and analyze field quality data, customer complaints, and product performance trends to identify recurring or emerging quality issues.
Investigate product failures and support root cause analysis (RCA) in collaboration with Engineering, Service, and Manufacturing teams.
Support the implementation and tracking of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), ensuring quality issues are resolved effectively and within agreed timelines.
Act as a key link between customers, service teams, and internal technical functions on field quality topics.
Collect and translate technical feedback from the field into clear insights and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
Track product quality trends and prepare data-driven reports to support decision-making and prioritization.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving product reliability and reducing warranty costs.
Support improvements to quality processes, systems, and ways of working.
Collaborate across functions to ensure quality concerns are properly investigated, communicated, and followed through to resolution.
Help strengthen customer satisfaction by ensuring field quality issues are handled with a structured, proactive, and quality-focused approach.
We’re looking for an experienced and technically strong quality professional with a solid background in the bicycle industry. You combine hands-on product knowledge with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are comfortable working across different teams and stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience within the bicycle industry.
Strong technical knowledge of bicycles and product quality, with expertise in Dutch bicycle brands such as Batavus, Sparta, or Koga being a strong advantage.
Experience with field quality monitoring, product performance analysis, and technical investigations.
Strong understanding of root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to identify trends and translate data into actionable insights.
A structured and analytical approach to problem-solving and technical investigations.
Understanding of quality systems, processes, and compliance requirements.
A continuous improvement mindset; experience with Lean or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with Engineering, Service, and Manufacturing teams.
Clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluency in Dutch and English.
